Stage Management was Amanda's first introduction to teaching artistry, and the first field of technical theater that she truly fell in love with. She spent several years working strictly as a freelance Stage Manager in Seattle, often doing 3 shows at once. She has now been Stage Managing for 10+ years, and considers it one of her favorite positions in the world of theater.

Select experience: Amanda spent 6+ years as a resident SM/ASM with Youth Theatre Northwest, where she learned teaching artistry from a community of incredible administrators and teachers. She has SM'd with companies such as ACT Theatre, Seattle Public Theater, The 14/48 Projects, West of Lenin, Sandbox Radio, and more.

Amanda's love of Production Management began in college, and continued into her role as Venue and Production Manager at West of Lenin in Fremont, WA. With companies often relying upon Stage Management to maintain all aspects of a show, Production Management quickly became a passion for Amanda - both the delicate balance of upholding structure, and the element of advocacy for artists that is required for the position to be performed well.

Most recently, Amanda has been hired as the Production Manager for Tacoma Arts Live and their Theater on the Square. She was invited to join their staff as a leader in creating the structure for their new producing entity which hosts a four show season as an endeavor to identify an artistic voice for the organization, and to bring more theatrical opportunities to the Tacoma community.

Select experience: Amanda was the resident Production Manager for West of Lenin and its affiliated production company The Ethereal Mutt. Favorite PM credits include Sundown at the Devil's House (Cafe Nordo's Pressure Cooker) Buzzer (ACT Theatre + The Ethereal Mutt) and LIFE = PLAY (West of Lenin for Seattle Beckett Fest) and the resident PM for The Panel Jumper: LIVE, a Comic Book Cabaret Series.
